Really appreciate all the money saving tips, Tawra. I am passing these shows on to my grown sons and their families. We have been picking up DVD movies at Yard Sales or Thrift stores. Watching them and then reselling them in our annual Garage sale, so we get the money back or make a little extra depending on how much we originally paid! Going out to a movie theater has become so ridiculously expensive- even without buying any treats at the snack bar. And most of the new movies have been bad anyway. So....We are enjoying old James Bond movies, Clint Eastwood westerns, movies from the 70's and 80's, PBS British murder mysteries- stuff like that.

I have to tell you this I have a dead hanging plant out on my porch it was nothing but sticks I have a robin nesting in it she laid three eggs and now the babies have hatched this plant was dead and now it's coming back and it's not a plant that comes back every year and it's got buds on it

I hate summer

I shut off my $25 month hot water heater. Only use comfortable lukewarm water to shower only. In Florida the 30 gallon tank water stays hot-to-warm for 5-6 days in the summer (4-5 days in winter). Then I turn it back on 15 mins before I shower, shut back off after 1 hour - and good for 4-5 days again. Absolutely no suffering. I can run the A/C in the summer instead (and I do not over use the A/C either).

We have 6 kids and I homeschool them. I thank my husband allll the time for letting ME stay home and teach and raise our kids. He thanks me all the tome for doing it. I get compliments all the time about my kids' behavior, kindness, hard work. They are content, lovely people. I'm living the dream. All our cars are used. Our house is old and needs a lot of updates. But there is love here!!❤

I can take a while shower with a one gallon jug. This includes washing my hair. Now that my hair is just barely shoulder length I sometimes have water left in the jug. Learned this from camping for a week every summer as a kid.

As an older adult (not quite elderly yet) who lives by themselves, I find rotisserie chickens to be one of those "bonus" processed items that really are not bad for you. I know there is more salt in there than I would put on chicken if I were roasting it (don't beat me Tawara, it's a personal choice), and it can be added to so many other meals, Replying to the woman who has been delinquent with her lifestyle all these years - and is scared. She needs to look around her and work on each thing she is scared about. She may not like some of the lifestyle changes she has to make, but it doesn't have to be that bad, if she stops being scared, and starts to look around her and adapt her lifestyle. We are in hurricane season. They put out emergency suggestions every year, lists of goods, etc. in case of storms. New people to Florida panic every year. I know what destruction can happen, but some people have just no idea.

I"m sorry you two are very wrong about meat at Audi's, they have very good, as in very good prices on chicken breasts and wings and drumsticks. we get great prices on pork chops and pork roasts. We never buy steak or expensive beef, but we do get a 10lb. hambruger. for 3 dollars a lb. My husband and I are in our late 70's and only have social security. We also get their lamb.

Our local Save A Lot store had boneless skinless chicken breast for $1.99 a pound. I stocked up on it. I separate it into freezer bags and freeze. I also like to make some in the instant pot and freeze for faster meals.

I often freeze chops to thaw for stir fry as we have 3 people and 6 chops, no longer doing multiple chops per person , a healthier portion and get 2 family meals for $5 package of chops.also vinegar can congeal over time in original glass packaging in cabinet.

Speaking of Disney, it’s a very common vacation for people , in the south . We’ve never been & had no desire to go . I agree , with what you’re saying about it ! What REALLY gets me, is the vast amount of church people who have told me they are broke, can’t afford to be on one income, can’t pay their mortgage , etc … but they always seem to manage their yearly trip to Disney !! It’s like , Disney trips have become this status symbol , of “ keeping up with the Jones’” . I went to church w/ a girl ( long time ago), who would say the devil is attacking their finances & they are tired of these demonic financial attacks on their family . Well…… here’s how I see it … it has nothing to do w/ the devil . They made the choice to live in a huge , new house , w/ an in ground pool, in an upscale area, bought a BMW, fancy clothes from places like Banana Republic & J Crew , Coach purses , Disney trips & fancy cruises . They were poor stewards of the money God gave them . Many of the married couples class ( ages 20’s -30’s) , at this church, had the same mentality !!!! Meanwhile , our family was living on the “ poor” side of town, driving a paid for older vehicle, not buying fancy things or going on fancy vacations , & it allowed me to be SAHM. Whew . We’ve been out of that oppressive church for nearly 12 years . The stinking thinking goes deep ! I could write a book 😂 God bless y’all ❤️

No way, I would want to be in WY, camping in a tent ! We don’t even tent camp in the Smokies ! I just don’t like the thought of bears ! There have even been bear sightings in the East TN valley , in subdivisions & also in the county , where it’s more wooded . I would rather the bears stay up in the mountains ! Lol. 😊

I appreciate your thoughts on the church issue . I remember a year or 2 ago, how Tawra shared w/ us a little about their disheartening church journey . It helped me to feel not so alone in all of this . I remember awhile back, Tawra saying she thought they had finally found a good church in WY. I could really feel the shock & sadness as she spoke about the realization of the church actually promoting zombies & using that to draw “ the world” into the church . I realize our culture has changed radically since Biblical days & sometimes it is hard to know exactly what is acceptable / not acceptable , in the current church , if it’s not laid out clearly / specifically , in Bible . I do agree , some things just seem so obvious that it is wrong & shouldn’t be accepted , let alone promoted in church . Even though we finally have a little church we visit , we still after , nearly 12 yrs of visiting many churches & praying , we can’t find a church that meets the majority of what we are looking for. I believe we are starting to see what the Bible refers to as a “ falling away”. The churches we’ve been to , are either extremely arrogant/ legalistic, or just anything goes , looks like the world & can’t tell the difference between the church & the world . We are in the Bible Belt … East TN!!! The state of the churches is shocking & heartbreaking. There’s also a verse that talks about the love of many will grow cold . We are really seeing that .
